LinuxGames veröffentlichte ausserdem ein Interview mit Jason Compton von Planewalker Games:
What is the current state of the game/engine development?
The engine is nearly complete. Virtually all of the core functionality is in place. Broken Hourglass content development is progressing.
Is the code being written with multiplatform support in mind?
Yes, decidedly. Virtually every library used in the Windows version (really, everything except MSVCR70) uses some form of compatible open/free source license, so our entire codebase will be available when it comes time to port to Linux and Mac OS X. Of course, if there are any platform-specific weaknesses to our codebase that we uncover when the time comes, that could affect our plans, but given the engine programming choices, Im optimistic that there is no technological reason why the game shouldnt be available on multiple platforms.
Are you considering porting Broken Hourglass to Linux in-house? If not, did you consider licensing the game to a porting company such as Linux Game Publishing?
We are planning to conduct the port in-house, but we are not closed to the idea of working with a partner.
What kind of support do you expect from your fans right now? Will there be a preorder option for the game later?
Nothing outside the ordinary: tell your friends, post about it on your favorite game discussion sites, plan to buy multiple copies and give them away as presents, that sort of thing. Im not a fan of preorders long in advance of purchase, so were in no danger of doing anything like that yet.
