Der neueste Treiber ist ja der ati-driver-installer-8.39.4-x86.x86_64.run. Mit dem alleine bekomme ich beim Start von gdm einen schwarzen Bildschirm und kann selbst auf den anderen Konsolen nichts mehr sehen. Durch blindes tippen von shutdown -r now war es mir wenigstens möglich den Rechner neuzustarten.
Gut, dachte ich mir, probierst du mal ein paar andere Kernelsources und siehe da, der Kernel von der 8.35.5-1 funktioniert in Verbindung mit dem 8.39.4-1 Display-Treiber.
Der Nachteil an dieser Kombination ist das Fehlen der 3D-Unterstützung.
Vielleicht weiß ja einer von Euch einen Rat.
