Kurz:
- Performance für alle unterstützten ATI Karten steigt um 50% - 80%
- Der neue Treiber übertrifft vergleichbare Nvidia Karten in Benchmarks!
- ...und erst mit diesem Release gibt es Spielbare Framerates bei vielen aktuellen Karten.
- Radeon HD 2000 Karten (alle mit R600 Chipsatz) werden unterstützt.
- Die Scripte zum erstellen von Distributionsspezifischen Paketen wurden aktualisiert
- Treiber ist vornehmlich für Karten der R600 Serie gedacht, es kann also mit älteren Karten Probleme geben. Das behebt der nächste Treiber
Nochmal, es kann zu Problemen (instabil) kommen mit Karten die älter sind als eine X1900! Der nächste Treiber behebt dies!

Bekannte Probleme:
- Corruption may be observed with certain applications on some Linux distributions which enable the Composite extension by default, e.g., RHEL 5. If you are observing application corruption, please disable the Composite extension. Further details can be found in topic number 737-28224
- Using the xgl enabled x-server interface disables display switching hot plug support
- There is no support for video playback on the second head in dual head mode. Further details can be found in topic number 737-26985
